I thought I would take a break and add this post because it’s winter and we are all trapped in the house, with a couch in our kitchen, as we install our hardwood floors and put up our penny tile backsplash. The cool thing about the couch in the kitchen, is that I can sit on it and open the refrigerator while working on a project. Since I am eating for two, this really comes in handy. Baby number 6 is on his/her way…due August 6! So what I was saying is that being trapped in the house with the cold outside makes me reminisce about our trip last summer and that’s why I am sitting on the beach (i.e. couch in kitchen) in the warm sun in Costa Rica right now, in my mind.
Last summer, my husband and I took our five kids to visit our friends, Molly and Andre, in Costa Rica. Molly and Andre, own a beautiful house and guest house on the North Western side of Costa Rica on the Nicoya Peninsula on the western shore in between Playa Negra and Playa Junquillal. Molly has a horse training business and Andre has a landscaping business. You can see Molly’s website here. It was the first time we took our kids on an international trip and we had a magical amazing time. (I’ll be adding photos on a later post.)
Here is a map showing where Costa Rica is in comparison to the United States. It took us about 2 hours to fly to Miami and about 2 hours to fly to the Liberia airport in Costa Rica. You can also see this map here.
Here is a map of Costa Rica. Molly and Andre live North West on the Nicoya Peninsula. The Liberia airport is about an hour North of Molly and Andre’s house. You can also see the map here.
