Here is a way to get more light for your photos without spending much money. I bought all of these items in Wallmart which was really cool because I bought everything I needed in one store and it wasn’t that expensive.
First, I went to the Auto Department in Wallmart and bought two utility lights with clamps. These can be clamped to an object like a chair.
I also bought a reflective auto shade in the same Auto Department in Wallmart. You can use this to direct the lighting on to areas with shadows to make it brighter.
Get some 100 watt bright white light bulbs with “full spectrum” or “daylight”. Put the light bulbs in the utility lamps.
Buy some parchment paper.
Attach parchment paper to utility light. I just used scotch tape to tape the paper on.
Parchment paper is on light. Clip light on to something stable like a chair.
Direct light on to backdrop. I just used my curtain as a backdrop here. But one idea I have seen for a backdrop is using a wrinkle free king size sheet and hang it from a curtain rod that is already in place.
Both lights directed at backdrop.
This was for my 10 Week pregnancy photo. Here I am adjusting my dress in front of the backdrop.
